Meatball Sandwich Recipe

♫ Listening to: The Veronicas - When It All Falls Apart

I like IKEA meatballs. Furniture stores all need their own brand of meatballs. Don't you think so? I made this spiffy sandwich yesterday for dinner and today for lunch. Delish!

Here is a list of ingredients needed:
•Meatballs (any kind, I used IKEA ones)
•Bread (the kind used for subs), Baguette, whatever you like
•Any sauce/dressing/topping you like (I didn't use any)

1. Prepare meatballs according to instructions, preferably in the oven.
2. Slice bread through center (see image), but not all the way through.
3. In the last 2-4 minutes, stick the bread in the oven as well to give it a nice crunch.
4. Remove meatballs and bread from oven and place meatballs in the bread along with anything else. Make sure you don't split the bread in half because this will make it difficult to eat! Enjoy!

Summer is OVER

♫ Listening to: Boys Like Girls - She's Got a Boyfriend Now

Hey I haven't written in a while because well, I was frankly too lazy, but now I should be back for a while. School starts soon and Thursday I get to know my schedule so that should be interesting. I'm contemplating whether or not to participate in a sport this year. Because if I did do a sport, the only reason would be to seem more "well-rounded" to get into a good college, which seems like bull, but that's what everyone else does... (not everyone, but you get the idea) Sports aren't really my forte, but I don't know what else to focus on? My classes are freaking hard this year. Well, let's just say that I've already been having nightmares about them. :/

Cash for Clunkers

♫ Listening to: Shakira - She Wolf

Heard about Cash for Clunkers? And how it RAN OUT OF MONEY in one day? Oh by the way, the government added another 2 billion to the program. That sure will keep it up. So, basically, if your car meets the program's specific requirements, the gov will pay you some money to buy a newer, more environmentally friendly car. This means that someone can trade in a gas guzzling truck for ... another truck? Even if that truck is more energy efficient, environmentally friendly, blahblahblah, that new truck is still going to eat up a lot of resources. Wouldn't it be better if the government had rebates for people who wanted to trade average-size cars or large cars for hybrids? Wouldn't that be much better for the environment instead of getting another truck/van? I admit this is a step toward a better future, but I'm sure we could do better.
